Futurity is open to Select Stallion Stakes enrolled horses 5years old and under in 2026 (foals of 2021 or after) which have never competed in barrel racing for money, points, or prizes prior to November 15, 2025. HORSES NOMINATIONS into SSS PROGRAM MUST BE RECEIVED BY MAIL no later than MAR 20, 2026. AFTER THAT DATE THERE IS A LAST CHANCE NOMINATION THURSDAY 4-9 PM ON SITE CASH/CC ONLY.

FORMAT: Futurity will consist of two(2)long gos with an average. Long gos will be run on a 2D format with a .7 second split. 2D long gos will offer a progressive payout, while the average will be a straight payout.

ADDED MONEY & ENTRY FEES: There shall be $45,000 Added with a $500 Entry Fee 100% PAYBACK per horse. A flat $25 office fee will be added to each horse entry. $30,000 Futurity Sire’s Bonus.

FUTURITY PURSE & PAYOUTS: 100% of the Select Stallion Stakes Stallion Breeders Futurity added money will go into the Futurity Purse. 100% of the entry fee will also go into the payout. 75% of the late fee money will go to the amateur average. The Futurity Purse shall be split 30% to each long go, and 40% to the Average (5% of AVERAGE payout plus 75% of late fee will go to the AMATEUR AVG). TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE AMATEUR AVERAGE, RIDER MUST HAVE AQHA AMATEUR CARD. A copy of this card MUST be given to show office at check in (or mailed with mail in entry) Amateur rider is only eligible for AMATEUR AVERAGE PURSE IF THEY DO not PLACE IN THE OVERALL AVERAGE. The long go shall be paid on a 2D .7 tenths split, using a progressive payout (for example: if 12 places are paid,7places would be paid in the 1D and 5 places paid in the 2D, with 7 th place in the 1D earning MORE than 1st place in the 2D). The number of places paid will be determined by the total number of horses entered. The stallion purse will be paid 50% to the 1st go and 50% to the 2nd go NO AVERAGE. Stallion payouts will come from the SSS office.

SUBSTITUTIONS & REFUNDS Rider subs must be made by 9 PM Thurs Mar 26. Rider refunds after this time are allowed with $25 change fee. No refunds. No horse substitutions. Once payment is made there are no refunds for the futurity entry. The Barrel Bash portion of the entry fee (70/run) and stalls can be refunded if requested by Mar 22, 2026. RUNNING ORDER: Running order shall be random draw - draw will be posted by 8 am Friday. (after late entries close) in the 1st go and reverse order in the 2nd go. DRESSCODE: Cowboy hat or helmet, long sleeved shirt, long pants, and boots are mandatory. Absolutely no sweatshirts, hoodies, lace sleeves or burn out-shirts. TIE FOR PURSE OR PRIZES: If any contestant’s times are tied, the purse money will be split equally between the tied entries. Any ties for prizes will be determined by which entry has the fastest time in the 1st go, fastest 1st go time wins prizes.
